20662 Starting off with the "Red eye chorus" Mystified evolves within liquid digital sounds. Eno to Randy Grief to Boyd Rice, Mystified shows a mastering of looping sounds that become hypnotic. "Magnetic Tide" gives a wonderful taste and a point of an arguement that I feel needs to be said. The only issue with this album is that each piece is to short. I could easily see him pulling these works into 20 minute sculptures and pretty much, that is what I want from this artist. When you are roaming the net and various archives of mp3's, it is rare to find one who just teases you with what magic they could evolve into. Overall, a great album. There are a lot of interesting sounds here but they do not feel fully developed. I’d rather see a few fully realized sound-scapes (although I’m not sure about that 20 min. mark, how about 12?) than many shorter sound snapshots.
